"Having spent some years in Asia, Phuket was always a convenient and attractive holiday destination for me. While visiting in June this year I was surprised at the extent of new development in the area rendering the place unrecognisable from last time I was there some ten years ago. I decided to buy a property fairly quickly and chose the Residence for its location, quality and proximity to the beach and other facilities. 

I was impressed with the standards and the attention given to making the surrounding areas attractive with well thought out landscaping. The Spa provides first class facilities and is a personal favourite for me. The newly opened gym is convenient and I am looking forward to the plans for the Beach Club. The Richmond Group's commitment to providing hotel style facilities and 5 star management was a big attraction to me. I feel that the company has the right attitude to ensure rental yields will remain high for investors.  

Initially I will be signing up for the guaranteed rental return as my time in Phuket is likely to be limited, however as my own circumstances change I will look forward to the option of spending more time at the Residence."

"My wife and I have been going to Thailand since 1976. We fell in love with the weather, the food and the atmosphere, but most of all with the Thai People, who make Farangs (foreigners) very welcome. It is the Thai culture, and is not found in many other places. We know Bali (very nice, but there are many drawbacks), the West Indies and Hawaii. Both the latter areas are many times more expensive than Thailand, and the cost of living inordinately high.

On a holiday to Phuket in December 2004 we were just looking at holiday villas, and were struck by the design and location of the Residence. We made up our minds to buy one in 5 minutes, and our only regret is that we did not buy sooner. The house is very easy to live in, well designed  and practical. We would be very happy there full time, which is why we did not join the rental pool. The size, pool, garden, flowers and trees make one feel totally private, yet one is only a short walk from a lovely beach and many nice restaurants. We have had only very minor "teething" problems (as one would expect in any new home), which the Richmond staff have invariably fixed rapidly and in good spirit. In fact, that is one of the main joys of the Residence - the cheerful, kind and enthusiastic staff, who make one feel very welcome at all times. I cannot say too much of them.

All in all we are very satisfied, it is a "good product" and I know the later ones in Phase 3 and 4 will be even better, as many practical modifications have been made to the original design".

"Our family have been holidaying in various parts of Thailand for the last 30 years.  We love the relaxed atmosphere, the weather, the food, but most of all the Thai people who make everyone feel so welcome in their beautiful country. 

In December 2004 we were looking for a villa to rent for the following season and were taken to see The Residence.   We were so impressed with the attractive design and layout that within 5 minutes decided we would buy one!    The size of the house, pool and garden were all ideal and the landscaping of trees and bamboo provide total privacy.  The roof top Sala is a wonderful area for entertaining and BBQing.   The fact that it is also only a short walk to a lovely beach plus the other amenities such as the spa and a gym were additional attractions.   All our friends who have visited us from various parts of the world have fallen in love with it too!  

One of the deciding factors in owning a Villa in The Residence is the excellent and efficient service provided by cheerful and charming on-site staff, whether it is sorting out the odd maintenance problem or cleaning.   There is also full time security so one never needs to worry about locking doors.   

We have not joined the available rental programme as we have yet to decide how much of the Canadian winter we want to escape from! "
